Rape Suspect Apprehended In Unauthorized Road At BWI Airport: Mdta Police

A man accused of rape and assault was arrested while driving in an unauthorized part of the Baltimore Airport over the weekend.

Wilfredo Pineda, 27, of Silver Spring, was stopped by an MDTA officer while driving a silver Dodge Ram on the inner roadway of the upper level of the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport shortly after 2 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13.

The roadway is a high pedestrian area that is limited to authorized vehicles only.

A follow-up investigation found that Pineda was wanted on an open warrant for charges including second-degree rape and assault through the Baltimore County Police Department.

Pineda was subsequently arrested and taken to the Jennifer Road Detention Center.
